As part of the certified AI Advisor team here at Government Acquisitions (#GAIisAI), I am honored to welcome you to our new AI Advisors blog. My name is Mike Broadwater, and I am the Vice President, Technology Services Group, at GAI. I’ve been in the IT industry more than 30 years, getting to see everything from the dot-com boom to the rapid expansion of cloud computing. Today, AI has become this fascinating intersection of classical learning techniques, data creation and storage, security, privacy and massive compute capability. It’s incredible how much progress we’ve made in such a short time. Infrastructure needs are really pushing us to provide more capacity, with faster delivery times, at lower power consumption to maintain the rapid pace of development.
I am a member of GAI’s NVIDIA AI Advisor program, which guides customers to the best solution for their AI use cases, including: assessing customer AI workloads, articulating AI use cases by industry, addressing common concerns of technical and non-technical audiences, recommending full-stack solutions and guiding customer decisions through ideation workshops and proof of concepts.
We will have contributions from our AI and data leaders, our technical leaders and maybe even some guest authors. No matter the person at the keyboard, our team’s goals are simple: to bring insight from what we see in the industry and to open a discussion about the state of AI and the future of the AI ecosystem, including its impact on you, our reader.
We look forward to sharing with you discussion on a range of topics, including AI infrastructure, AI strategy, AI governance and AI ethics. I hope you will join us for each new discussion and share your thoughts on AI today and tomorrow!
